The autonomous pharmacy back office.

Finishes the prescriptions your team types by hand, inside the PMS you already run. Then it makes the outbound calls your team never gets to. Every action lands in the audit log.

What it does

One system for the work that runs your pharmacy.

It clears every prescription that hits your queue and writes it straight into your PMS. The outbound calls and texts that follow a fill are handled by the same system.

Data entry

The prescription queue, finished without typing.

Reads the e-script, the fax, or the voice order, then fills the Data Entry screen the way your best tech would. Every field is checked a second time after it lands. Anything uncertain parks on a flag with the reason attached, one click from resolved.

Outbound calls

The follow-up calls your team never gets to.

When a fill lands, the agent takes it from there. It calls and texts patients about refills that are due and pickups that are ready, books vaccine visits, and reaches the prescriber when a script needs a decision. Every outcome is written back into the PMS.

Platform

The rest of the platform comes built in.

The calls that still ring in get answered and logged to the PMS the same way. Insights from the data entry agent surface what your fills are telling you, from adherence risk to revenue left on the counter. New capabilities ship every month on the integration you already have.

Hands-on deployment

A pilot built around your store.

Start with the work you want off your team's plate. We validate it in your exact PMS product/version and configuration, confirm the setup requirements, and agree a pilot scope and rollout plan.

Step 01 · Discovery

Discovery call

Your PMS product and version, store configuration, script volume and target workflow. We identify where automation could help first.

Step 02 · Fit check

Validate the workflow

Test the proposed steps and writeback path in your setup. Confirm the supported work and required access before making a compatibility commitment.

Step 03 · Pilot plan

Agree the pilot plan

Define the supported workflows, setup prerequisites, responsibilities and rollout date after the fit checks. Prepare the agreed pilot with your team.

Step 04 · Supervised rollout

Start with supervised work

Run the agreed workflows with your team and review the results. Expand the work after the pilot demonstrates the intended behavior.

Your policy, enforced

You set the policy. The agent follows it.

Each store decides what the agent handles on its own and what waits for a pharmacist. Every decision is recorded, and every override is signed.

Security and compliance

Built to pass the audit.

Every deployment is HIPAA-compliant from day one. We handle PHI the way pharmacists do: carefully, and only where it has to exist.

  • baa

    Signed on every deployment.

  • phi

    Tokenized before model inference.

  • access

    Role-based. Nothing exposed by default.

  • fields

Agents see only what a task needs.

From the counter
The queue cleared itself by lunch in the first week, and the phones got quieter. We had time for the clinical work we trained for again.

FAQ

Questions worth asking.

The ones owners ask us on the first call. If you have one we haven't answered, write us, and we'll answer it directly.

What happens when the agent is wrong?

The agent only commits an action when it's sure. Anything ambiguous, like a drug that isn't on the formulary, a SIG it can't parse, or a patient match it can't confirm, goes to the pharmacist queue with the source eRx, the proposed write, and the reason for the flag. The pharmacist resolves in one click. Every agent decision is logged and replayable.

Do we have to switch PMS, phone system, or vendors?

The goal is to keep your current PMS, phone number and eRx feed. We validate your exact product/version, configuration and target workflow, then confirm any setup changes before committing to a pilot.

Is PillPilot HIPAA-compliant?

Yes. Every deployment is HIPAA-compliant from day one, with a BAA, audit logging on every PMS write, and encryption at rest and in transit. PHI is tokenized inside the pharmacy network and voice transcripts are scrubbed before model inference.

What does it cost?

Pricing is custom per pharmacy. We scope the pilot to your script volume, the workflows you want automated first, and the PMS you run. On a discovery call we'll size the pilot, walk you through the numbers, and put a contract in front of you within a week if the fit is right.

How long until we're live?

We agree a rollout plan after validating your PMS product/version, configuration and target workflow. The date depends on the supported steps, access and setup prerequisites, and pilot results. Bring those details to the discovery call so we can scope the work.

Who built this, and where did they come from?

Built and advised by people from RedSail (PioneerRx), PillPack and Amazon Pharmacy, Walgreens, Pfizer, and Photon Health. We've shipped pharmacy software at every scale, from a single store to a thousand.

Which pharmacy management systems does PillPilot work with?

We confirm compatibility for your exact PMS product/version, configuration and target workflow. Our guides cover PioneerRx, PrimeRx, EnterpriseRx, BestRx, Liberty, QS/1 and ComputerRx. Your setup needs validation before a deployment date is agreed; bring the specific product name and version to the discovery call.

What is prescription data entry automation?

It's software that reads an incoming prescription — an e-script, fax, or voice order — and enters it into the pharmacy management system the way a technician would, then checks the fields a second time. PillPilot's pharmacy AI does this inside the system you already run and routes anything it can't confirm to a pharmacist, so routine fills clear without typing and nothing uncertain is committed.
